Every Inchie Monday - Zebra plus catch- up inchies

Well Hi, after three weeks of not getting an inchie done at last I'm back!  What with visits to the hospital, working away from home and having 5 grandchildren for half term plus my own children there has been no time to do any form of crafting or sewing either because I've been too busy, not been here or because I've been too tired!!!  Plus our water pump stopped so we had no water over the Bank holiday with the children staying so I was washing up in 2 inches of water to preserve it, and not flushing loos!!!  We had to take the children swimming so they could shower and wash their hair!!  We finally got someone out to us by the Wednesday and we discovered the float switch had stopped working so until he could order another we had to switch the pump on and off by hand making sure it didn't overflow!!  So I was running up and down to the attic checking hence being tired!!!  One of the disadvantages of being so remote and being on a bore hole!  However the advantage is having beautiful water to drink!  Anyway finally I sat down yesterday feeling more myself than I've felt in a week and managed to sew the four inchies I was behind on, starting with todays' which I really enjoyed although I thought I wouldn't.  This week's is Zebra and I was surprised at the beauty of the zebra's face and perfect markings so I chose to do this.  Here she is:

The first one I missed was Panda and then Kangaroo.  Panda I did in felt and kangaroo I outlined ready to fill in but liked it simply outlined so I've left it like that:

Then last week's was Gorilla which was awful to do and I did a sketch which I quite liked but when I tried to sew it in reverse it was a terrible calamity however I am not going to do it again!

Anyway it's nice to be back - sorry I didn't comment on anybody's work - we were in the process of having fast fibre fitted as well but things didn't go according to plan and we were without for a few days - With the promise of it being connected soon I left anything to do with the internet as it is soul destroying how slow ours was before - I am happy to announce I have 54 MBps at last and surfing the internet is now a total joy unlike out 255KBps we had before last Friday when I felt like chucking the device through the window!  Anyway hopefully life will settle down to a relaxed pace and I shall be able to resume inchies on time!!  Please click the here to view other inchie makers master pieces.

Every Inchie Monday - Horse

Well it seems we're back to Every Inchie Wednesday - for me anyway!!!  But I do have a good excuse - I was looking after my granddaughter of 2 all weekend and Monday and on Tuesday we were so exhausted I couldn't do a thing!!  So anyway this week's challenge on Every Inchie Monday is Horse.  I thought a beautiful palomino with that wonderful creamy mane would be ideal so here she is.

Still no sign of my 2016 inchies - I'm just hoping they'll turn up when I'm looking for something else!!  I can't worry about it now.  I still have the last four as they were still in my sewing bag!  At least I know where they are not!!  Well it's really miserable here - chucking it down with rain, don't feel like doing anything bar curling up with a book in front of a nice fire!  Enjoy your day and thanks for popping in.  Don't forget to click the link to view other horse inchies.

Every Inchie Monday -Cat

And it's Wednesday instead of Monday I hear you say!  Yes well I've been doing the dreaded accounts - they have to be in by the end of the month and my accountant is screaming for them and what with not being well and trying to get rid of any evidence of Christmas it's been a long haul.  So I'm afraid my little inchies are taking back place at the moment!  However I had to do cat since I have five of them!!  I have two tabbies, one, Maverick, has the Bengal fishing cat in him and he's enormous weighing in at 6-7 kilos!  The other is a dumpy little thing, Maddy (short for Madam since she is one and rules all the others!!) that we found on the road one night as a kitten almost starved to death.  Then there's poor old Figgy (short for Figaro as he looks like the cat in Disney's Pinnochio) black and white and old -16 now. Then come the newest two a result of my daughter working at the local vet's!  Ferris is a black and white, I think they call them tuxedo cats, born of a little cat that was run over and brought into the vet's only to discover she was about to produce 3 little kittens.  They homed two easily but the last was left and so she brought him home and of course he stayed and then 4 weeks later another little kitten was brought in, completely black only 2 weeks old, his mother and siblings had just been slain by a farmers Jack Russell but when he discovered the little survivor he brought him in to the vets.  My daughter happened to be there and after the vets had decided nobody could give him the time so they were going to destroy him, again  my daughter came to the rescue and she fed him every two hours, walked around with him in a hat tied round her neck like a little sling and he nestled in there, went to work with her, slept with her and this was 18 months ago. Now he has grown into a lovely little cat black with long hair and his name is Django!!  So, I could only choose one cat and I opted for Ferris as he has a rather cute face with half a white moustache and the most beautiful green eyes, white bib and four white paws.  So here is my version and I added a picture of him poddling on the bed!

Thanks for visiting, and sorry to bore you with all my cats! Please visit other inchie makers work at everyinchiemonday by clicking here.  Thank you for your comments they mean a lot to me.  Enjoy the rest of the week - I still have to finish the accounts!
